I haven’t forgotten about the book still life I showed the sketch of a few days ago. I finally had some time to lay in some color yesterday.
Here you can see the reference photo at the top, the painting on the easel and the palette at the bottom of the photo. There is still quite a bit to do to it but it’s shaping up nicely.

We had a wonderful time at the 1st Saturday Paint Party yesterday. A fun group of ladies created a beautiful still life. Great job ladies.

Adele’s Birthday Party
We had a wonderful group of ladies for Adele’s Birthday Paint Party last night at the Blue Ridge Arts Council. Everyone did a fabulous job painting a scene of the gazebo. Terrific work! And Happy Birthday Adele!!!

January 2014 Paint Your Pet Portrait Party
Yesterday afternoon we had another “Paint Your Pet’s Portrait” Party at the Blue Ridge Arts Council and the painters made wonderful renditions of their pets! Just take a look. And a couple of these folks have never painted before. Can you believe it???!!!

This is a commission that I did for a client who is giving it to her dad for his birthday today. The cat’s name is Cat! This painting is an acrylic on 11″x14″ canvas. I sure hope he likes it.
