We celebrated Jordyn’s birthday yesterday morning at The Studio. She (Jordyn is the cutie sitting in the middle) and 8 cousins and friends came out from Northern Virginia to paint this cute little Chickadee. Didn’t they do great???!!!! I met Jordyn at Capon Springs at the art retreat I did there recently and they painted with me a couple of times there. When her parents asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday she said paint with Miss Kelly! What a delight! Thanks Jordyn for coming to The Studio and bringing your friends. Happy Birthday to You!!!!!

The kids painted a little deer at Kids Class yesterday at The Studio. What fun! They did a great job. The next class for kids will be on December 11th at 2 pm. We will be painting a still life. Shannon, Becky and Paula spent their holiday on Friday finishing their Big Star Quilts. (See that here.) And as if sewing for 3 hours wasn’t enough they went on to complete a Rag Tree Skirt. Shannon, Becky and Paula came back to The Studio yesterday, on their Holiday off, to complete their Big Star Quilts. And look how terrific they turned out. And Paula, being the overachiever that she is, decided to make two borders around hers so that is why she has a little more to go but I know she will knock that out at home without any problem. Girls, you all did a great job. I’m so proud of you and you should be super proud too!
We had another session of making beautiful Rag Tree Skirts for our Christmas trees last night at The Studio. These are so popular and I can not wait to see how they look around everyone’s tree. I’ve asked everyone to send photos when they put up their trees so we can see how lovely they look. 🙂
