A New Sewing Cabinet

Look what Lincoln gave me for Mother’s Day! It’s a “new to me” sewing cabinet that I have been wanting or awhile. We lucked out and found one on Marketplace up in Pennsylvania. I can’t wait to get the insert for the machine and then it will be perfect!

Fabulous Bulldog Jackets

We had a terrific Mother’s Day weekend with my sister, Suzanne, and my niece, Alexis. We did lots of fun things while they were visiting but the most fun was painting these denim jackets with the Georgia Bulldog. They look great! Nice work girls. I know you will enjoy wearing these.

Our Favorite 91 year old Student – TILLY!

Here’s Tilly!!!! She’s our favorite 91 year old student. She completed these two paintings over the past couple of weeks. Isn’t she adorable???!!! We love her…and next month we will help her celebrate her 92nd birthday. Can you believe that?!

Love this Jelly Roll Quilt

Lincoln wasn’t happy that I didn’t let him jump up on this quilt for the photo so he jumped up in the window seat and stuck his tongue out at me. LOL! I love this jelly roll quilt. I have been trying to alter some jelly roll patterns to make them into Quilt as You Go patterns and have done several over the last month but this is by far my favorite. I love a scrappy look in a quilt and I just adore this group of fabrics. I used “Flea Market by Lori Holt” for Riley Blake Designs jelly roll. It is just perfect for this quilt. Amazing Pet Portraits

Travel Memories

My weekly art student, Dianne (on the left), always brings her out of town visitors to The Studio to paint a local view so that her guests will have a beautiful reminder of the trip. It’s not only the image but also the memory of painting together at The Studio that these guests enjoy. This friend, Agnes (on the right) is visiting from Paris, France. It was a delight working with her and she did an amazing job!

Sampler Quilt Final Blocks

Another group of quilters has completed the final two blocks in our Sampler Quilt class. These ladies finished the Flower Basket and the Virginia Star, the last two blocks for our quilt. At our next class they will begin putting their quilts together. They are going to be awesome!
