Stick Weaving

Stick Weave2I love the look of this.  Maybe we’ll do some more soon.

Rag Quilts!

Rag Quilt March 25We had a great Rag Quilt class yesterday afternoon.  Believe it or not they all made a quilt in just 4 hours.  That’s right, 4 hours!  And didn’t they make some amazing quilts.  Great job everyone.

20180324_151647.jpgMy niece Morgan is graduating soon as a Graphic Arts major.  She has an amazing imagination.  I flew to Savannah yesterday to see her art show.  She and three of her fellow students had a show with art representing their work from their years at college.  It was all amazing.  Everyone had a different story and different style and it was great to see.  Morgan is very much into developing characters for a graphic novel.  Her back stories for the characters are great fun.  Here is some of her work…and some photos of the family getting together for her event. Congratulations Morgan.  It was a great evening.

I am excited to be flying down to Savannah today for the reception of my niece’s art show tonight.  Morgan is graduating soon with a major in art.  I’m very proud of her.  You can see some of her work here from an earlier post.  I am sure tomorrow I will have more photos to share. But today I am sharing photos of her from visits here over the years.  Congrats Morgan.  Looking forward to the show! Can’t wait.

April Showers

April ShowersOur first Paint Party in April will feature “April Showers”…hopefully followed by May flowers.  Walking in the rain is so much fun…and it will be fun to paint.  Join us on April 7th at 5 pm.  Click here to register.

Even though Spring arrived yesterday so did the SNOW!  So another few days of soup for us.  And what do you need for your soup bowl…a bowl cozy.  Get rid of those hideous dish towels to hold your hot soup bowl.  We have these cute bowl cozies now.  Don’t you want to make one?  This class is coming soon at The Studio.  Join us Thursday, April 5th at 6 pm to make two cozies.  Click here to register.

This past week I spent a little time with a Girl Scout troop helping them achieve their Drawing Badge.  It was a good evening. (Thanks Scott Turnmeyer for the photo.)

We had a great sewing workshop yesterday making Flower Rag Quilts.  Here are a couple of them.  Nice!

Pets!

My favorite type of Paint Party….PET PORTRAITS!

Easter Door Hangers.jpgWhat a fun time last night making these door hangers for Easter.  They turned out so cute.  Great work everyone!
