Our June banner is just delightful! We love how it exudes SUMMER! And these quilters did a great job on theirs yesterday. Beautiful ladies and as always, y’all are “sew” much fun to work with!

A beautiful display of Gee’s Bend Quilts are on exhibit at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We got to see it yesterday. It’s terrific. Be sure to click the photos to read more information.

Just got my “Picnic Quilt” back from the longarmer. I love the design of this quilt. It’s simple but it really could be used to play checkers! The simple blocke designs around the edge just enhance the checks. Love it! Now to go on a picnic.

What a fun evening as everyone painted with brush and palette knife creating these lovely landscapes with wildflowers in the foreground. Lots and lots of fun! Great work everyone! Check out all the events coming up at The Studio here.

We all had a great time at the fundraiser at Belle Grove yesterday painting the 1820’s Meat House. It was fun being in the old barn to paint and enjoying the views. Thanks to everyone who supported this even and Belle Grove. Watch for more terrific events coming there soon.

We had a great quilt workshop at The Studio Friday evening and Saturday. These quilters got a great start on their Flying Flag quilts. They went home with some homework and will return in a few weeks to complete their quilts. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. Great work everyone. We even had two new to quilting enthusiastic students. We’re always excited to introduce new people to quilting. If you have ever wanted to learn to quilt be sure to check out upcoming classes at The Studio and join us.

The Ribbon Quilt is back from the longarmer. Wendy did a fantastic job on it. She always makes my quilt tops looks so good! I love this little quilt because I really like the fabric…Mercantile by Lori Holt for Riley Blake. I made the top at the retreat I attended in Pennsylvannia in March and just got it back and put the binding on it. I have quite a bit more of this fabric as I had a large fat quarter bundle so I can’t wait to make something else with it. (Here is the original post about the quilt.)

We had a great Paint Party yesterday afternoon and these ladies all painted some gorgeous potted geraniums. Didn’t they all do a great job???!!!! Check out what’s coming up at The Studio here. And we are adding more in the next few days so check back soon.

The May Flowers banners look great! Nice job ladies. I love how these turned out. What fun to try something new!
