Barn Quilts are making a comeback….and they aren’t just for barns. They look great on sheds, houses, garages….or just about anywhere you’d like a pop of color. Bob Ross!!!

It was so great!!!! We saw the Bob Ross exhibit at Franklin Park Art Center in Purcellville yesterday. A group of nine went over and saw the amazing video about Bob and his life and how he began painting.

Then we saw some 30 of his paintings from his show, The Joy of Painting. It was very well done. The show is sold out but they told us yesterday that they may add a few more tickets to try to allow more people to see it so be sure to check their website.

Farm Animals!

We started our Farm Animal series last night at The Studio. A great crowd painted a donkey and a rooster…and they all turned out great!!! The 2nd in the series will be on Sunday, October 13th at 2 pm when we will paint a goose and a sheep. Click here to see and to register.

Weekly Classes for Adults & Kids

The Studio offers weekly art classes for adults and kids. These are ongoing classes…no need to sign up for a specific time period…just come when you can. Each student begins at the level they are whether an absolute beginner or an advanced student. We will work to help each student achieve their goals and improve their skills. Adults meet on Wednesdays from 10:30-Noon or from 5:30-7 pm and we also have a Thursday afternoon class for adults from 2 -3:30 pm. We have kids class on Wednesday from 4:15-5:15 pm. Contact kwalker@thestudioforlearning.com or call 540-683-9688 to learn more and to register. Everyone can paint….it’s fun and all you need is the desire to learn to make it happen.
