Paint Parties Everywhere!
Posted in daily painter, Landscape, Paint Party, tagged Apple Tree, Paint Party, Rice Tire, The Studio on April 3, 2016| Leave a Comment »
Yesterday was a busy day with two paint parties – one at the Holiday Inn and one at The Studio. Rice Tire from Maryland is having a retreat/convention here and invited us to have a Paint Party for their attendees spouses. We had a large and enthusiastic group. Everyone did a great job and is going home with a wonderful souvenir of their time in the Shenandoah Valley.
The afternoon saw us painting at our 1st Saturday Paint Party where we painted the third in our Four Seasons series – the Spring Tree. They looked GREAT!
Lots of beautiful art was made yesterday!

The weather is calling for snow this weekend but we are thinking about summer. This little painting is one that we will be doing at a Paint Party to kick off the summer at the Warren County Community Center on Thursday, May 19th at 6 pm. Contact the Community Center on Villa Avenue to register for this one.

We have had some really great paintings at Paint Parties this weekend. We had Mary’s Birthday Party with a terrific beach scene. We had our second group paint the “Tulips with a View”. And last Thursday we even painted some wonderful wine glasses. Nothing but a good time to be had at The Studio.
Check out the calendar and find a fun party or class to attend.

Even though the weather was beautiful Sunday afternoon our Paint Party group created “Winter Serenity”, a lovely winter scene. We were hoping it would be the last snow we would see this year. 🙂 Great work everyone!

This one is Apple Blossoms. We’ll all be ready to paint this soon.

This is the painting that we will be doing next month for the 1st Saturday Paint Party (and probably again later in the month because the first party looks like it will sell out). I love putting our beautiful mountain view into paintings that we do. We are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. It makes for really nice art!
Plus this one will help us welcome in the spring after such a cold winter.
