Kids Paint Signal Knob

Tobacco Barns

20170806_063204 While on a short trip in May I saw this old tobacco barn on the back roads of North Carolina. Having grown up on a farm I was glad to see it and had to stop for photos. Yesterday we painted this farm scene at our 1st Saturday Paint Party. Great job by everyone!!!

Demonstrating at The Barn

This weekend was Art in the Barn at Belle Grove in Middletown. I was invited to submit a few paintings (one sold, WooHoo!) and to demonstrate on Saturday. I was set up in the barn that morning and worked on a floral for a few minutes but I kept looking at the scene in front of me….out the door of the barn and I loved what I saw so I switched and worked on a smaller painting of the little scene out front. I got quite a bit done and will finish it in The Studio. You should go to Belle Grove if you get a chance. It’s beautiful there. I’ll be going back soon to paint again.

Fun to be Had…

Patriotic Barn June There is loads of fun to be had at The Studio….almost every day! We have classes and paint parties for people of all ages. You saw the last few days the wonderful work that our young artists created. Well, this weekend we had our adult artists and friends working on beautiful paintings.

First, we had a Patriotic Barn Paint Party on Friday night. And then yesterday we had our monthly Paint Your Pet’s Portrait Party. Did I mention that we have so much FUN at The Studio???!!!!

Rappahannock Cellars FUN!

We had another BIG paint party at Rappahannock Cellars last night. Fun was had by all and everyone went home with a beautiful work of art. It was super seeing so many old friends painting with their families and meeting so many new friends. Great job everyone. We’re looking forward to the next one!

Painting Small
