Painting a Live Set-up

We had a great afternoon of painting at The Farm at Clover Hill yesterday. What fun to select some beautiful flower stems, arrange them, and then paint. SO MUCH FUN!!!! And everyone did a beautiful job on their canvases. Paintng from life is a little more challenging than painting from a photo but everyone was up to the task and went for it! Nice work. Looking forward to another chance to paint at Clover Hill. Thanks Susie for having us.

Sunflowers from Clover Hill Farm

I recently drove out to The Farm at Clover Hill....a great little a new flower farm offering beautiful cut flowers. You can cut your own or they will cut for you. And the flowers are gorgeous. I am hoping to have a paint class out there soon……maybe when it cools off a little outside. Be sure to check them out and go cut some flowers soon. I got some lovely sunflowers that I created this painting using as reference and also some zinnias that I hope to paint today.
