Changing Cherries

cHERRIESSometimes when I paint I have to make a change.  I started these little cherry paintings with a darker background and then changed it to lighten up the top part of the background.  Often adjustments need to be made after you start.  The trick is being able to see what changes are needed…and that just comes with practice.

2015-04-04 07 57 51_resizedI arrived a The Village at Orchard Ridge about an hour early yesterday for art class so I set up a canvas and started this little painting.  I am hoping to get there early again next time and finish it up.  It’s a good start!
