We had a fun session yesterday creating Garden and Peace Posts at The Studio. I love seeing the ideas everyone comes up with for these. Wonderful! Here are a few from yesterday.

My private students painted summery scenes over the last two weeks….a Ball Park and a Beach with Flip Flops. Nice work. I like the flip flop scene so much that I painted it too and think this will be a great one for a Paint Party. What do you think?

We had an amazing day of art yesterday at The Studio. First we started Summer Art Camp with our 5 and 6 year old painters. They studied Manet and we painted a lovely floral like one of his. Beautiful!
Then Joy completed a painting she had been working on in our regular Adult Art Class that meets each Thursday at 2 pm. Nice job Joy!
After that we have Sophia and Joey, a sister-brother team, that take private lesson at The Studio. They painted these two wonderful swimming ducks.
And finally, we had our Dr Who Paint Party where we all painting the Tardis in Space. Perfect! Great work everyone!!!!

And then as a special surprise one of our adult art class members brought her little one with her to class. She was a big hit….super cute and she went around and told each painter what a great job they were doing and how much she liked their paintings. Adorable!

The kids painted a lovely little flag scene in anticipation to upcoming Memorial Day. Great job everyone!
Our Art Retreat to Whippoorwill Farm has ended and was a great success. Ten of us went to practice our plein air skills. Some were painting outdoors for the first time…and they did great. Take a look at Lauren with her first plein air painting. She did a fabulous job. She completed about 90 percent of it on location and then finished it up at class last night. Beautiful work Lauren. So glad you were able to go and experience plein air painting.
