We have tons of fun with Paint Parties but some people have asked to take it a step above…in other words, they want to learn more rather than just copy the follow along paint party image. With that in mind we are introducing the Masters Class. Masters Class will provide more detailed information and teach techniques for those who want to not only paint but improve their skills. In our first session we will learn to develop a painting from a live set-up to create an Expressive Still Life. The set-up will include fruits and flowers….according to what is available at the time. Yesterday at Kid’s Art class we had a smaller group because school was out for snow…and we like those days because we can try something different. We learned about negative painting. We started our painting by using a paper towel to dab colors onto our canvas like an abstract and then painted out everything on the edge to shape a bird. The kids loved the change and so did I.
We have tons of fun things scheduled at The Studio. 
We painted a little Snowman with his Red Bird Friends yesterday at The Studio. What fun!!!
I can’t share all of the Pet Portraits that were done this weekend because some are going to be some amazing gifts for some very lucky people. But here are a couple of beautiful ones that were done because the owners love their pets so much! Nice work ladies!!! The next Pet Portrait session is January 18th for adults to paint. 
I had the pleasure of working with a group of young girls at E Wilson Morrison Elementary School yesterday….Club Hope. This group works with team building, encouraging self-esteem and communication. They were such a great group. They worked together to make this mural painting. Each one painted a canvas and then they worked together to make the scene come together. It will hang at their school for all to see soon. I know they will be proud of their accomplishment. I applaud Ms. Amber Ring and her colleagues for creating this club and working with these girls. Keep up the good work girls.
The kids painted Christmas Trees for their final painting of the year. We’ll create more fabulous art in the New Year. If you have a young artist interested in painting have them join us.
