I spent yesterday at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was so strange as many times I was the only on in the galleries…but it was wonderful because I got to linger and really study each painting. I will try to share some in the next few days and I hope you can see the close up of the brush work of these amazing painters. The one here, by Claude Monet, is a great example of brushwork and texture. Be sure to try to enlarge the photos and take a look. AMAZING!

I returned to some of the paintings that I did during the workshop I mentioned earlier this week. See that post here. I touched this one up….a forced hyacinth bulb that I got a week before the workshop started. I like how it turned out…especially the shadows.

Do you love zinnias like I do? Happy, beautiful flower…and now you can paint them in a really large format. Let’s paint a LARGE canvas of blossoms….choose from zinnias or a mixed group of flowers on this dark background that makes this dramatic painting stand out. And you can choose the size you prefer…..16×20, 18×24 or 24×30….you decide which works for you and choose that option when you register. We’ll paint this one on Saturday, March 27th at 2 pm. Click here to register for this one. It’s fun to paint BIG!
