We are so excited (and a little apprehensive) to offer the first Take-Home Kits from The Studio. We have made it as user friendly as possible. You have an option to purchase a kit with a pre-sketched canvas and written directions for pick-up at The Studio or to be mailed. Or you can upgrade to get that kit along with access to a video where you can follow along with Kelly as she paints the image, you can stop it, rewind….and you may even see Lincoln in it! We have even offered these with 2 or 3 canvases if you want to get family or friends to come over and paint with you.
The written directions will include a list of all the supplies you will need to create the painting along with step by step directions with color mixing instructions. We have two videos and instruction sets ready today and we are adding more each day. We will have some kits soon that will be available with just the written instructions….and some that will be geared toward kids….although any of these will be fine for all ages.
If you choose the pick-up at The Studio option you can come by on Wednesdays from 10-Noon or 3:30-7; Thursday from 1:30-3:30; or Friday from 9 – 1. There will be other times we will be there too…..any time that we have an event at The Studio or just let Kelly know what time is good for you and she will meet you there.
We will also have Supply Kits available if you want to use the same supplies that Kelly uses at The Studio for Paint Parties. We encourage you to use the best supplies possible if you want great results. Use tube paint….not bottled craft paint if you want it to look the best.
We have tried to make options that will work for everyone and hope you will give these a try and continue to support The Studio during this crazy time of Pandemic. We want to be here when the dust clears and we think this is a way for us to do that. So take a look at what’s available. Check back often….and tell your friends. We have been working VERY hard to record videos and prepare kits that will be available for pick up at The Studio or by mail so that you can paint along with us. We’ve missed seeing so many friends here at The Studio during the pandemic and some of you have contacted us to say that you are painting at home but not getting the same results you got when you painted with us at The Studio. So we are preparing kits that will include pre-sketched canvas along with written instructions for color mixing that you can order. And you will even be able to select an upgrade to include video access that you can follow along at your leisure to paint with Kelly….almost as good as being at The Studio….except you won’t be able to pet Lincoln….but he will make an appearance from time to time. We hope you are as excited by our announcement as we are and that you will continue to support The Studio and will order a kit and paint along with us. Watch for them. We hope in the next day or two they will be available for purchase.

I’ve dubbed this group “The Fun Girls”. This is the third time they have had a private party at The Studio and every time they roll in with a theme, take time to decorate the space and are dressed to kill. The youngest one had on a pair of glittery silver boots so we switched our holiday music to “These Boots are Made for Walking” by Nancy Sinatra and we all sang at the top of our lungs. I’m sure anyone walking by outside had to hear and think “what are they doing in there now?” And the food they bring is enough for several dozen people….but not to worry…they bring to-go boxes. They are so prepared! They really know how to have fun. I can’t wait till the next one……Mardi Gras! Thanks girls. Great job!!!!

We had a big day at The Studio yesterday as we had two private Paint Parties. The second one was a family gathering painting these wonderful little snowmen. What fun it was to watch family members work together and joke and have fun while painting. Nice work everyone. Many thanks Brittany for bringing your family to The Studio!

My sweet, sweet friend and amazing painter, Katrinka finally made it back to The Studio yesterday to host a holiday party for some of her friends. We’ve missed Katrinka so much as she has been cautious during this crazy pandemic. They all did amazing work and had so much fun fellowshipping at The Studio! Thanks Katrinka.

Several months ago I started working on this painting. The reference I used was from a photo I tore out of a magazine from May 2011. I held on to it for so long because I really liked the way it looked and knew that sooner or later I would get to painting something from it. And now, 9 years later I did. LOL! This one I painted a little larger, 24″x24″. It reminds me of scenes I grew up with in South Georgia.

The kids had such a great time Wednesday as they painted these cute little holly berry paintings AND a palette ornament for their tree! They were so excited to do two things at one class….and they did great!!!
