Join us from 5-8 p.m. tonight for the 3rd Thursday Art Walk. I will be painting at the Blue Ridge Arts Council and I invite you to join me. Tonight’s theme is “Minds Wide Open” and we will be working on abstract pieces…and you can join in. I’ll have all the supplies. You just come ready to paint!!!
And abstract doesn’t always mean non-representational. As you can see here there is a representational element to abstract art as well. Come on down and see more.

Tomorrow is the 3rd Thursday Art Walk. Each 3rd Thursday in downtown Front Royal many shops extend their hours until 8 p.m. and from 5-8 p.m. artists demonstrate at several locations. Tomorrow not only will they demonstrate but they will encourage viewers to paint as well.
The theme for tomorrow’s art walk is “Minds Wide Open”, the same theme as my current show at the arts council. Marlene Kline and I will be at BRAC, 305 East Main Street, demonstrating and hopefully helping you paint an abstract work of art.
Please join us and try your hand at painting. We’d love to see you there.
Shown here today are some of the abstract works in the current show that Marlene and I have on display at BRAC.

Meet Shelly. She is the newest student we have in our Wednesday Night Art Class. She just started with us a few weeks ago and this is the very first painting that she completed. Isn’t it great!
I love working with new students with the enthusiasm that Shelly has. I can tell she is having fun and I am too. Because the Wednesday Night Class is now full we are beginning a new session on Thursdays. So if you have been wanting to learn to paint but couldn’t come on Wednesday, now is your chance. Email me at kwalker@doubledogdesigns.com and let me know you want to paint with us on Thursday. I promise it will be fun. Just look at Shelly!
