We had a great time last Saturday learning to make a Scrappy Bear Paw Quilt Block. Some quilters made a large block for a wall hanging and others got started with smaller blocks to make a quilt. Such great work by everyone! These are going to be gorgeous.

Another great day with a field trip to start off as we went to Warrenton to check out Quilting Essentials and More. It’s a small shop but they have gorgeous, quality fabric and the owner was super nice. Then we came back to quilting and sewing the rest of the afternoon. And of course, after dinner, we had our usual games plus a Christmas special. Katrina won again and Sherry, Sister (Suzanne) and Julie joined in the winner’s circle. Can’t wait to see what happens on our final night.

Our final Sewing Camp this summer was a huge success! These young girls created these amazing stuffed animals. They chose their pattern (cat, sheep, or bunny) and then selected fabrics for the body, legs, arms and ears. Next they designed the faces. What a FUN project!

These ladies had a great time creating machine mats and thread caddies to use with their sewing machines Sunday afternoon at The Studio. It was a fun project that will be very handy as they continue to make amazing projects. Nice work everyone!

We got a jump start on our July Banners with this group on Sunday as they came to the Machine Mat & Thread Caddy class so they stayed to make their July banners. It was a full afternoon of sewing. Didn’t they do a great job on both projects???!!!

We had a large group come on Sunday to make these super cute Machine Mat & Thread Caddy sets. Everyone chose cute fabrics and did a great job making these useful items. Great work everyone! Our Beginning Quilt Class is next weekend and it sold out FAST! It’s going to be a fun one to make. Since it was popular we have scheduled another for March 9th so if you are interested in learning to quilt (or sew) this is a great beginning class and project. Check our more information here and register early. We are limited to six for the class.

To say we had a great time at Stitch & Bitch VII would be a huge understatement. This group of stitchers made beautiful projects while having fun playing games and winning prizes. It would be hard to describe all the things we did, all the delicious food we ate, and all the laughs we had. I can’t remember when I laughed so much. We are all looking forward to the next one in April.

Our Saturday Banner class made these amazing Acorn Banners for November. They look awesome! And we have a new yound student….Korrine. She made her first quilted piece with us yesterday and is so excited about sewing. It’s fun to help young people develop this skill. Just look at this smiling face below.

Here is our second class of October Banners. Don’t they look fabulous? These quilters did terrific work on these little banners. We are so excited for this series we are working on.
