It’s been inspiring to see so much beautiful work. The Quilt Show was a nice break from work. Now to get home and start on some projects from the supplies we picked up.

We lucked out coming to Asheville, NC to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Biltmore because the Asheville Quilt Guild is presenting their show. We spent a little time there yesterday morning checking out the wonderful display. So much creativity with fabrics….of course, my favorite was the painter!
And maybe the cow!

We made a quick trip to the Quilt Show in Chantilly yesterday. It was the first time I had been and I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the quilts on display. The amazing work that went into these beautiful creations was too hard to even describe. Here is just a sampling of what I saw.
And speaking of sampling…… I am obsessed with these sampler quilts. I think this is the next big project. And of course, there were wonderful vendors with terrific new projects for us to try. I particularly love the things at “Epicurean Boutique”. Patty Vatter had the most glorious patterns for handwork. You need to check her out on Facebook to catch her next show.
