Berries is an oil on 5″x7″ canvas panel. It was a lesson in the Wednesday Night Art Class a few weeks ago. I just got around to putting some finishing touches on it. It is available for $65 (unframed) by contacting me at kwalker@doubledogdesigns.com .

Isabella is my private student. She comes once a week and we work in acrylics. She’s a very quick study and has done some really nice little paintings.
Here she is hard at work.
And with her finished painting. A really nice result. Good job Isabella!
In addition to the Wednesday Night Oil Painting Class that I teach at the Blue Ridge Arts Council (see the Art Class tab at the top of the page) I offer private lessons. I have had several young students. I usually don’t work with students under the age of 12 but every once in awhile there is a “Promising Picasso” that I teach.

We were out at the cabin for an extended weekend. The weather was beautiful and I got to paint on location everyday. A real treat!!! I am finishing three paintings that I started out there so I will post them soon. In the meantime I wanted to share with you Truman’s big adventure.
When we got back from painting one day a pickup truck loaded with children (and adults) pulled up to the little pond in front of the cabin. It is stocked with HUGE Koi fish and the people who lease cabins from the other end of the farm sometimes come down to feed the fish. This day there were 8 children all under the age of 9 and several adults. One little girl was more interested in Truman than feeding fish. He sat down and she hugged him…..
And hugged him…..
And hugged him while the other children tried to pet and play with him…..
And then she explained to the other children that she wanted to hug him some more. While Truman really loved all the attention, he finally got tired and walked up to the gate to be let into the fenced yard where the other dogs were waiting rather impatiently because they were not getting hugged.
And this is how Truman looked after the truck pulled away taking his new found friends with it. Truman, you are such a good boy!!!

Here I am setting up a new blog because Blogger just removed me from theirs. I still don’t know why or even if I will ever get all my work back and I am just sick about it. But I have decided that I need to get a new blog up and running so I can post my work so here I am. Please note the new address – www.kellywalkerstudios.wordpress.com . So I thought that a photo hanging a show would be a good way to start. Tomorrow there will be more new paintings. Thanks for being so patient while I try to get this set up. I sure hope that I don’t lose all of this work.
