I am always so proud of my art students and love sharing their work with you. I often post photos of the kids paintings and forget to take photos of the adults as they finish their paintings. But yesterday it seems that everyone was finishing paintings at the same time so I got some great shots. These are all Wednesday morning or evening students. Keep it up girls. Great job by all!!!

Just completed number 11 in the series of 30: Citi Field, home of the New York Mets. One of the most unusual things about Citi Field is that it is the only MLB park with orange foul poles instead of yellow.

Yesterday was a rainy, messy day but that didn’t stop my friend Linda and I from a little day out. We had a delightful day riding over to Middleburg, a cute little town about 25 miles from Front Royal, where we visited our favorite shop. Then we rode over to the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley in Winchester to see the new visiting exhibit: American Impressionists. It was a nice collection from the Reading Museum of painters from all around America who painted in the impressionistic style. While they did not allow photography in the exhibit you can see more about it with some photos here. It’s worth a trip to see while it’s here.

Yesterday at Kid’s class we had a great time painting something a little more challenging than usual. But the kids jumped right in and did a great job. We painted from this cute photo of my godson Chase with his dog Rue! They are waiting at the door for their dad to come home. Could he be any more cute?
Great job everyone!

I got to paint with my young friend, Kaylee, yesterday for the first time in quite a while. She used to paint with me every week so I have missed seeing her. We had a nice visit while she painted this beautiful piece for her great-grandmother Edna who she will be visiting in a few weeks. I know that she will love this thoughtful gift. Nice job Kaylee!
