This is the best time of the year for some really great baseball.  Even though my Braves lost night before last to the Los Angeles Dodgers I still am having fun watching.  Last night the Boston Red Sox moved on to the playoffs by beating Tampa Bay Rays.  Now we just have to wait to see if Boston will play the Oakland A’s or Detroit Tigers and if L.A. will play Pittsburgh Pirates or St Louis Cardinals.  Who are you cheering for?

If you aren’t watching baseball these days you are really missing out.

Number 26 in the series of 30, Comerica Park is the home of the Detroit Tigers.  It is one of only two  modern ball parks that feature the dirt strip between home plate and the pitcher’s mound.  (The other being Chase Field.)  Beyond the outfield is a beautiful view of the Detroit skyline.  The scoreboard at Comerica features two large tigers on top and when a home run is scored their eyes light up and growls are played on the loud speakers.
