Art Campers Paint Cassett

Art Campers Paint Cassett

We started the final week of Art Camp this summer by studying Mary Cassett, one of the few female impressionists of the time.  The young artists did a marvelous job with the extraordinarily difficult painting.  Keep in mind they did this in just one session!  Great job everyone.  Can’t wait to see the rest of your good work this week.

Art Camp July 22 ManetAnother session of Art Camp is off to a GREAT start!  Yesterday we painted a wonderful copy of Manet’s Peonies, one of my favorites.  And the kids painting turned out magnificent.  Terrific painters.  Can’t wait to see how today’s painting turns out.

Ps.  I got a question about why one kid keeps covering his face.  His parents prefer that his image not be posted on the internet but I wanted him to be able to show off his beautiful work so this is our compromise.  🙂

Paint Party JulyThe terrific thing about painting is that anyone can do it.  If you have the desire to paint,  you can learn to paint.  Paint Parties are a chance to learn something new with a great group of friends.  A little food, a little drink, a lot of laughing.  And in the end you have  a new painting.  Why don’t you get a group together for a party of your own?

Last night we had a fabulous group of painters for their second party and look at the wonderful work they did!  Super work everyone!!!  It was so much fun.  Read more about paint parties here.
