Paint Your Pet Workshop 1st Sat 2The 1st Saturday Paint Party was FUN yesterday.  We painted our pet’s portrait.  They all turned out fabulous!  It was a fun evening with lots of wonderful  snacks and lots of laughing.   Thanks for the fun party girls.  And your paintings are vibrant and gorgeous!  Great job!

Jeff with SunflowersI love watching students finish paintings that they are working on in class.  Jeff paints with us when he is in town and he just completed this wonderful sunflower painting as a Christmas gift.  It turned out great and I know they will be thrilled to receive such a wonderful surprise.

Dec Paint PartyThe December Paint Party featured a fun snow painting and everyone did a terrific job!  What a fun way to spend the afternoon.  Great job girls!

CAM04569We did a holiday painting yesterday in kid’s class.  Their tree limbs with holiday ornaments turned out so good.  Fabulous everyone!  (Remember kids class is every Thursday at 4:15 for kids ages 7-13.  Register your young artist today for next weeks class.)

Jacob and Ethan collageThis week Jacob and Ethan made layered collages in art class.  We used all sorts of interesting things to build the art from buttons and ribbon to old magnets and plastic forks.  They turned out great.  Good job guys.  Very creative.

River view Boys Landscape classA few weeks ago I took a photo of the Shenandoah River while walking down the path to the dog park.  It was the perfect reference photo for a landscape painting for the kids class this week.  I had four boys….what a challenge.  🙂  They made beautiful paintings of our lovely fall landscape here in the Shenandoah Valley.  Great job!

Joy is one of my Thursday students that often tells people that she was scared to come to her first art class.  But then she will reassure them that she is glad she did because she loves the paintings she is creating as well as the fellowship with her fellow students.  Great job Joy!  We are glad you joined us.
