This is what I call 4 Lincoln.  These are the two paintings of Stinkin’ Lincoln that I did for the Bark for the Park series.  They are both 12″x12″ acrylic on canvas.  The green one sold at the reception for Bark for the Park and the teal one is hanging in my living room with the portraits of all the dogs I have had.  🙂

I had a delightful time yesterday painting at The Southerlands with three lovely artists:  Annajean, Charlotte, and Inge. 

They created beautiful landscapes during their first lesson with me.  And what a good job they did.  I’m looking forward to next week’s session!

Yesterday I posted a painting that I did as a demonstration for some of the residents at The Southerlands.

This is Kirby, my friend Kyle’s dog.  They live in Kentucky.

We had two terrific art classes yesterday. 

First, the young artists painted cantaloupe.  They did a great job!

 

And then the adults painted.  They are all doing great work and getting better and better all the time.  Good job everyone!!!

  Last week the kids painted watermelon slices.  They did a great job!

Dan, Dan the Popcorn Man is an acrylic on canvas measuring 8″x10″.  This piece was commissioned by the Blue Ridge Arts Council as a gift to the organizations Volunteer of the Year.  Dan Lenz has been a big supported of BRAC, serving on the board and volunteering since the organization was founded in 1987.  He is best known for the popcorn he makes at the Gazebo Gatherings every summer.  Congratulations Dan.  Well deserved.
