Postage Stamp Quilting

I recently saw an amazing postage stamp quilt that was king size and made with 1 inch squares…over 7000 of them!!! So, of course, it made me want to try it. The table runner in the photo (The one with the border and the bowl) was made with 1 inch squares. The other one was made using jelly rolls so the finished squares are 2 inches. These were fun but I don’t think I can stand 7000 squares of fun. LOL! You can make one of these beautiful patchwork table runners or toppers (square) on Sunday, April 3rd at 2 pm at The Studio. Shadow Box Block

I worked today on a new block pattern….the Shadow Box Block….or a 3D Block. When it’s all put together it looks like the blocks float over the top of the quilt. Very cool. I’m anxious to finish it to see how it turns out.

Stitch & Bitch IV Retreat a Fun Success

Fabulous group of stitchers went all in for 3 days of sewing, quilting and crocheting at the Shenandoah River State Park this past weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN!!!! We did a lot of laughing while creating so pretty fabulous things. Take a look. We can’t wait to do it all again! Thanks ladies for so much inspiration.
