3d8435b8b0cc75828112682e9f28ca25 The 4th Tuesday of each month at 6 pm we have a Famous Painter Party. This is where we recreate a famous painting by one of our favorite artist. We have done so many over the past year or so. We love these. This Tuesday we are recreating a Matisse….a little different from what we think of when we see Matisse’s work. We love it. Working Large in Abstract

Large Abstract 4 Abstract painting is a matter of taste. Some people love it….others not so much. Sometimes you need a really large painting to fill a space you have or to bring color to an area and a good way to do that is with a large abstract. And while many people think that anyone can slap some paint around and have an abstract painting to have a successful painting it takes a little more than that. Beautiful Flower Baskets Paint Party

hanging-baskets Everyone, tourist and residents alike, has enjoyed the beautiful hanging baskets on Main Street in Front Royal this year. Join us to create this rendition of the lovely hanging baskets that have graced Main Street this summer. They really have looked so beautiful and now we will capture them on canvas to enjoy forever. This is a follow-along party so anyone can do it even if you have never painted before. Why not bring a friend and your favorite beverage and give it a try. We’ll paint this one on Tuesday, October 11th at 6 pm.

Hydrangeas

I have worked on several hydrangea paintings this week in preparation for a private Paint Party coming up tomorrow with a good friend and a large group of her friends from Lake Frederick. I’m looking forward to it. Part of the fun of hosting Paint Parties is coming up with interesting subject matter that can be simplified so that even people who have never painted before can create a successful painting. Busy Day at The Studio

Bday Poppies May Pets We had a busy day Saturday with two paint parties and the Wine Festival going on. First, a birthday Paint Party…then our regular Paint Your Pet’s Portrait Party. Everyone created beautiful pieces of art!

And we had a few people stop by during the festival to see what we do at The Studio.

Abstract Flower Wheels

20160228_170317-1-1 Here is the second painting that you can choose from at the Senior Center fundraiser. This painting can be done by a single painter or if families wish to participate in this fundraiser they can each paint a canvas with half of this one to hang together to form a large painting. Kids would love to paint this one with you so come join us and help the Senior Center raise money for Meals on Wheels. It will be so much fun! Here is more information and where you can register.
