Demo Painting for TVOR

The demonstration painting from The Village at Orchard Ridge class is finally complete. (Here is an earlier look at this painting.)  Since we only meet 2 Fridays per month it takes a little longer to complete these.  And I want to be sure the students get their painting to the place they want it to be before we call it done.  They all did great!

Now to see what they want to paint next!

And they made beautiful poppy paintings.  A great gift for everyone to take home with them.

Famous Painters Art Camp for Kids started yesterday with a wonderful Van Gogh painting.  The kids did a terrific job in their study of Van Gogh’s “Sprig of Almond in a Glass”.  Good work!

Art Camp yesterday had us painting our version of Claude Monet’s , (1840-1926) “Lilac Irises”,  painted in 1914-17.

Valley Poppies I I decided to paint a miniature version of  “Wild Poppies in the Valley”.  This one, “Valley Poppies”,  is 6″x6″ acrylic on canvas.  (It measures 11.5″ x 11.5″ in the frame.)

While working at Delilah’s Art & Gift Shop on Sunday I set up a table on the porch and painted.  I like to do that because people are curious and will ask questions about art and painting when they see you working on a piece.  This is a look at the progression of my Sunday painting.
