I recently drove out to The Farm at Clover Hill....a great little a new flower farm offering beautiful cut flowers. You can cut your own or they will cut for you. And the flowers are gorgeous. I am hoping to have a paint class out there soon……maybe when it cools off a little outside. Be sure to check them out and go cut some flowers soon. I got some lovely sunflowers that I created this painting using as reference and also some zinnias that I hope to paint today.

Everyone did a great job on the Feeder and Fence painting last night. It was a night of fun and laughs…and a challenging painting. Beautiful!!!!

It’s Open Studio Friday where you can come from 10 am – 1 pm and bring your projects to work on with us here. Why not join in with others creating and enjoy some time spent with other creative people. If you don’t have a project going just come on by and let us help you get one started! Tuesday evening we had Famous Painter Night at The Studio and recreated Franz Marc’s “Dog Sleeping in Snow” from 1910. Everyone did a great job tackling this expressive, cubist painting. These evenings are a great opportunity to learn more about color mixing and improving brushwork. Join us for the next session on August 24th at 6 pm as we recreate Van Gogh’s Wild Roses. Our young artists painted Aladdin’s Lamp yesterday morning at Art Camp along with a little bonus painting….a little flower on a wood shingle. They did a great job painting these wonderful pieces. Nice work young painters!

Monet was our subject of study at Art Camp yesterday. We recreated the Japanese Bridge at the Water Lily Pond. These look terrific! Nice work by these young painters. Art Camp continues today and we have a few more sessions this summer. Check out the schedule here.

We had a great start to Art Camp 4 yesterday with 7 enthusiastic painters creating Georgia O’Keeffe’s Peach with Glass. Beautiful!!!!! There are a few more camp sessions to come. Be sure to register your young artist to come paint with us. Check it out here.
