20180102_134925530972130.jpgI posted a photo of Brother’s family dog Duffy last week and the sweater I made for him.  Debbie sent me this new photo of him this  morning walking in the cold weather sporting his new attire.  Isn’t he CUTE?!  That reminded me to post the pattern.  I wrote this several years ago after I post photos of Lincoln wearing one I had made up for him.  If you crochet this will give you an idea of how to go about it.  You may have to make alterations in order for it to fit your dog but it’s a start.  The link here will take you to the pattern.

Morgan’s Hat

While at Dahlonaga yesterday Morgan saw a hat she liked so we made her one last night.  Cute.  I’ll try to find time to write the pattern out soon to share.  (UPDATE:  Here is a link to a pattern I wrote a few years ago that is similar.  https://lifeofadailypainter.com/2014/02/18/basic-hat-pattern/ )

We’re visiting Brother and family in North Georgia and met their new pup, Duffy.  He’s adorable!  They’ve had a hard time finding a sweater to fit so last night I made him this one…and a matching hat for his mom, Debbie.  🙂

Walking around the show at Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair we saw so many interesting things…and great ideas.  And the funny thing is we went all the way to Asheville only to find the best new idea by an artist from our own town – Front Royal.  Melissa Yoder Ricks with Wild Hair Fiber Studio had this interesting loom to make these terrific pieces of weaving that can be incorporated into hats, sweaters, etc.  I loved them.  I’ll be experimenting with it soon. Check Melissa out here.

Crocheted Bowl Holder

Someone recently shared with me a photo of a bowl “mitt” for those of us who love hot food in a bowl but get tired of holding it with a tea towel.  Theirs was quilted but I worked up a crochet one this week to give it a try.  It worked great.  It would be hard to write a crochet pattern as everyone’s bowls are different sizes.  I’m going to try to make a few others for other size bowls I have.

Another Poncho

Here is a poncho that I made several years ago and have worn it many, many times.  It’s my favorite.  It is a simple design but very functional.  We will have a poncho class soon.  Start thinking about the yarn you want for your design.
