Last night we had an enthusiastic group recreating Van Gogh’s Wild Roses at our Famous Painter night. They are beautiful! And we have one more…..when Debbie finishes hers we’ll share it! 🙂 Our next Famous Painter night will be Tuesday, September 28th. Mark your calendar because this one has a special story. Did you know that once a month at The Studio we feature “Famous Painter Nights”. This is where we recreate a famous painting and talk about the artist. This month we are featuring Van Gogh’s Wild Roses. Anyone can do this and by recreating a famous work of art you learn so much about color mixing and design. Why not join us? Last night we completed the 4th bird in our Bird Series of paintings – The Hummingbird. What a terrific bunch of painters. They all look so good. The next bird up is the Tufted Titmouse on Sunday, August 29th. Click here to see more and register. We had more young painters from Angel’s Korner visit yesterday at The Studio. WOW! What a good job they did. It’s always good to have young people paint with us.

Last month when Sister was here for my birthday we went to The Mud Peddler Studio in Shepherdstown to celebrate her birthday. She had received a gift certificate to work with the amazing Denise Kupiszewski, pottery artist extraordinaire. We had a great time creating yard art animals. Sister made these terrific fish and I made bunnies. It was so much fun. Denise delivered them yesterday so now they will go to Georgia to sit on some bamboo poles in Sister’s garden by the water. I love them!

Yesterday a group of young painters from Angel’s Korner Daycare came to paint at The Studio. They did a great job….and Lincoln made 14 new friends!

You know we have ongoing weekly Art Classes for Adults and Kids at The Studio. These are held every Wednesday and Thursday. Click here for more information and details. And from time to time one of the regular students brings a friend with them to paint. This happened last week when Andrea’s friend Candy was visiting. They are both from New Hampshire originally and now Candy and her husband are traveling the country, living in their RV. I want to do that! It was so much fun hearing about her adventures while helping her create this little painting that will help her remember her time with us. Come join us for a class soon. You’ll love it too!
