Since it was a cold rainy day, the kids painted a warm mug of cocoa at class yesterday. Great work choosing their colors! Joy has been painting with me at The Studio for a long time. She loves her painting sessions and tells me that she paints to make others happy. She almost always is painting something for a family member or friend. Her portrait of Lily is for her niece. I’m sure that Lily’s mom will be thrilled with this gift. Keep painting Joy!

Kids LOVE painting at The Studio. They get so excited as they see their paintings come to life! And while they are having fun they are learning about color mixing, how to use brushes, and about different types of art. This week our Wednesday and Thursday classes created these gorgeous haybale landscapes. What a GREAT job they did! We are having so much fun with family and friends painting together at Capon Springs Resort this week. If you didn’t make it you are missing out on so much fun!!!! We will hopefully have out 2022 dates soon so you can put it on your calendars and plan to join us to learn to paint or come to improve your painting skills. It’s a great place to relax and learn!

Kid’s Painting Classes have resumed at The Studio. Every Wednesday from 4:15-5:15 pm kids ages 6-12 learn painting skills while creating a new image each week. Savannah is one of the teenagers who attend the Wednesday evening art class. She always paints some interesting subjects. The last few weeks she has worked on a “Face Plant”. I kept trying to get her to explain what that is to me and she kept laughing at me. LOL! Nice work Savannah. Love your colors and style. Another student pointed out how this is similar to Salvador Dali’s work. Can’t wait to see what’s next.

The kids started back with class at The Studio yesterday painting an umbrella….so appropriate for yesterday’s storm! They were more interested in getting Lincoln to be in their photo than looking at the camera. LOL Homeschool students classes begin this morning at 11 am.
