The 4th Tuesday of each month at 6 pm we have a Famous Painter Party. This is where we recreate a famous painting by one of our favorite artist. We have done so many over the past year or so. We love these. This Tuesday we are recreating a Matisse….a little different from what we think of when we see Matisse’s work. We love it. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. Still a couple of seats open if you are up for it. Click here to register.

My favorite flower…finally blooming after a year long wait. Oh how I wish they would bloom year round instead of just a couple of weeks a year. Allen brings them to me almost every day at this time of the year and I take loads of photos for reference. So, so pretty!

I’ve been working with my friend Deb to set up her Square Store so that soon you will be able to purchase her amazing yarns for your knitting and crochet. Deborah Ray hand spins her own fibers and wools and also hand dyes. The results are amazing!!! Please watch for her store coming soon and you will be able to have some of this beautiful yarn. Love it!

My friend Deborah and I took her mom out to the Garden Show at Blandy Experimental Farm yesterday for the Garden Show after a little brunch. It was a fun time. So many beautiful plants were available. But there was also other garden related items …. and animals. We saw these great guys…not sure if they are llamas or alpacas……but they were CUTE! And while I didn’t buy a basket I did get a hat…and it’s cute too. I didn’t ask how much the baby was that was on display with the baskets because I really didn’t need one. LOL!

A few weeks ago we saw a cute little Black and Tan Coonhound pup walking by The Studio and we asked his dad to stop so we could all pet him and get a photo to paint. The kids loved him. Well we got around to painting his portrait this week. Look at what a great job the kids did with their portraits of Rocky.
