We did a holiday painting yesterday in kid’s class. Their tree limbs with holiday ornaments turned out so good. Fabulous everyone! (Remember kids class is every Thursday at 4:15 for kids ages 7-13. Register your young artist today for next weeks class.)

Here are works by two Wednesday evening art students. Jean has been painting with me a couple of years and is doing a great job. She just completed this wonderful painting of her grandson. Wonderful Jean!
And Teresa just joined us last night. This is her 1st painting. Great job Teresa. Can’t wait for us to paint together again.

1st Saturday Paint Party

It’s time for our 1st Saturday Paint Party. Plan to join us this Saturday, December 7 from 4 -7 at the Blue Ridge Arts Council. We will be painting a winter scene similar to the ones here. Choose from a snowman scene or walking through the snow.
All painting supplies are included as well as refreshments. Cost: $30. Contact kwalker@doubledogdesigns.com to register. Space is limited.

Taking a Break – Sort of….

I am taking a short break away but it’s hard to go without painting when you are accustomed to painting every day so I am working on a large painting of the local marsh view. It’s nice to change up the subject matter from the mountains, vineyards, and baseball parks I have been painting the last several months. I hope to finish it today so I can share the finished painting tomorrow.
