This is the beginning of the painting, Shenandoah Fall. I was reminded recently by a couple of blog readers that you like to see the progress of a painting. I forget to take photos because I get caught up in what I am doing when I paint. I’ll try to remember to stop and take some photos so that I can post the progression in the future.
The palette I worked with looked like this. I often use palette paper which makes for a much easier clean-up when I finish work. I generally use about 6 or 7 colors when I paint and blend them together to get the tones I need.
And this is the complete painting, Shenandoah Fall I, which measures 6″x8″ and is framed and available at Delilah’s for $145. There is a companion piece that I did at the same time that I will post soon.
