Robin’s beautiful home near Romney was the site of the Paint-out on Saturday. How wonderful that she shared her wonderful location with us.
She explained that the original part of the house dates back to the late 1700’s and it has been added on to many times over the last 300 years.
There was several buildings on the property that are unique. I love the boards on this one.
And lovely settings like this that would make a great painting.
And this one too! Where to start???!!!! That is always the problem when you go to a new location that is rich with subject matter. It’s hard to know what to paint first. That is why digital cameras have been such a useful tool for painters. All those pictures…so little time to paint.

Dear Kelly,
It was very nice to meet you at Robin Pancake’s house on Saturday. I am the student of Linda Landis and a new artist. I love photography too.
I’m glad the “Glass House” sent out your photos taken at Robin’s. They are really good. I was able access your web sight and look at a lot your wonderful paintings. They are very good. I love looking at other artist’s work. I so enjoyed your dogs and Morgan. Who couldn’t fall in love with the adorable face of Truman. The recipe of the dough sounds yummy. I think I’ll try it soon. This time of year, when the days start to get cool (fall is my favorite time of year) I like italian food and bread. Really, I just love bread, especially home made with lots of butter. It sounds like you live in an ideal spot for photography and painting. Every where I go I see beauty. If you have ever been on Route 956 between Short Gap, WV and Route 220 toward Cumberland, MD., just before you get to Route 220 where WV goes into MD, if you stop right there, the view in every direction is amazing. There is valley with mountains all around with the river and railrod track near by. Again, it was my pleasure to meet you. Looking forward to more up date.
Debbie
