Lucky me! I got a new easel for my birthday last week so I did a practice run with it this weekend out at the cabin and painted the Red Chair that I posted about a few days ago.
Love the new easel and the ease of set-up. It makes plein air painting so much easier.
And here is the finished sketch. It is an oil on canvas panel measuring 8″x10″ and is SOLD .
I love that chair!

I love this so much! Elegance within the simplicity. (My grandma’s was green:)
p.s. I may or may not have already replied. I think the cast I’m getting used to wearing (ugh) hit a button the either “sent” or “deleted” the other one.
I love this so much. Elegance within the simplicity. (My grandma’s chair just like this was green. 🙂
Loved your sentimental memories about your Mom and Grandma rocking in similiar chairs as you played in the yard near them. Owning this chair, and making this fabulous painting of the chair, will keep these memories allive forever.
Love this painting. We had these same chairs in green when I was growing up! This painting really brings back memories. The setting is gorgeous, looks so relaxing.
Thank you Kelly for your comment on salonunidad. My site is: erikakoenigworkman….at the beginning of working with steel and stone and dreaming about bigger pieces…public art? I worked with a sculptor who created public art and it was his passion….continuing to see how the journey unfolds but thus far I am being directed to metal and stone.
