We had the best time at the Famous Painters Party last night at The Studio painting Van Gogh’s Yellow Chair. Everyone did a fabulous job working on their 16″ x 20″ canvas. They look so good! We are going to do the companion piece “Gauguin’s Chair” at the May 24th session.

If you do nothing else today you HAVE to watch this film trailer. I’ve been seeing a short video on Facebook the last few days promoting a new film about Vincent Van Gogh. It is and animated film about his life being made entirely using paintings in his swirling-choppy style and based on his letters. It is AMAZING!
You must watch this short video about the film…..and then watch the trailer for the film here. The things they can do with art and film is unbelievable. I can’t wait to see the completed film.

Yesterday we ended this session of Art Camp with a large Van Gogh painting. And what a terrific job these artists did on this one! Van Gogh’s “The Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum, Arles at Night” has lots of colors and angles and these kid’s paintings are outstanding. Great, great job!!!
There is only one session of Art Camp left. It’s next Monday-Tuesday, August 11-12 for ages 5-7.
