We had a delightful project yesterday at The Studio….a baby shower where friends created this lovely tree for the Mom-to-be to hang in her nursery. It will be a wonderful reminder of how her friends and family love them.

Tree of Life

20160228_170317-1-1 On Saturday, April 23rd at 3 pm we will be painting for a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels. This is a wonderful program that provides hot meals to home bound seniors in our region. The program services Clarke, Frederick, Page, Shenandoah, or Warren County, and the City of Winchester. We can use your help. Come paint your choice of two selections and help this worthwhile cause. And make it a family affair. Family members can paint separate panels that will create one beautiful work of art to showcase in your home.

Fee includes everything needed to paint and light refreshments.

Tickets: One painter $45-your choice of 16″x20″ Tree of Life or Field of Flowers painting. Click here to register for 1 painter.

Two painters $80- two 12″x16″ canvas to create Field of Flowers painting. Click here to register for 2 painters.
The Senior Center does great work for our community and they can always use donations. Bring any of the following items to help the Center and receive a $10 gift certificate to The Studio: Gallon Zip Lock Freezer Bags, Zip Lock sandwich bags and quart bags, plastic cutlery, napkins, #10 fruit cans, fresh fruit, and cookies. Help us help the community!

Senior Center Tree of Life

We will be holding a fundraiser for the Senior Center Meals on Wheels program next month. We want everyone to come and help. This is one of the two paintings that we will offer. The original metal sculpture of this Tree of Life hangs on the wall at the Senior Center. When I visited Terry to talk about the fundraiser I saw it and thought it would be great to paint. So here is a version that we will offer at the fundraiser on Saturday, April 23rd. Put the date on your calendar and more details will be released soon. A Tree of Life

In our Arts and Crafts Camp yesterday we worked with wire and beads and made a “Tree of Life”. The kids did a great job beading their trees. Fantastic!
