So Proud of These Girls!

Shannon, Becky and Paula came back to The Studio yesterday, on their Holiday off, to complete their Big Star Quilts. And look how terrific they turned out. And Paula, being the overachiever that she is, decided to make two borders around hers so that is why she has a little more to go but I know she will knock that out at home without any problem. Girls, you all did a great job. I’m so proud of you and you should be super proud too!

Well, We Did It Again!

I know people find it hard to believe but these 6 quilters made these amazing Big Star quilts in just 2 days. We started them yesterday evenng at 5pm. We sewed until 9 last night and then came back at 10 am and sewed until 6:30 tonight. I never get tired of seeing the different color/fabric combinations. Each one unique…each one beautiful! Nice work ladies. I knew you could do it!!!

Quilters Make Beautiful Big Star Quilts

It is quite an accomplishment to make a quilt. But to make a quilt in a day and a half….well that is something else altogether! And that is just what these 6 quilters did this weekend. We started on Friday evening and finished yesterday around 6:30. Aren’t they just amazing!!!! We used the Quilt As You Go method so these quilts are all done. Everyone did a great job with their color and fabric choices. I wish you could see them in person as they are so much prettier than in the photos. Nice work Debbie, Julie, Pat, Terry, Troy and Sherry. You ROCK!!!!!! We have another class coming up next weekend. Can’t wait to see what they do. And if you have ever wanted to learn to sew we have a class this Thursday on making a Table Runner that is beginner friendly….plus it only takes about an hour. Wilma’s Sampler Quilt

Wilma just completed her sampler quilt from Class 1 of the Block of the Month sessions. It looks GREAT! She decided to make hers larger than the 12 blocks the rest of us did by duplicating some of the blocks for a total of 20. It really looks nice. Well done Wilma!!!

Block of the Month Class 3 Making Progress

Class 3 of our Block of the Month Quilt groups did a great job Saturday making two more blocks for their Sampler Quilt. They learn all about flying geese and points….way more than they wanted too! LOL! they did great learning this challenging part of block making. Great work! Just two more blocks and they will be putting their quilt together. Sampler Quilts Completed

I am so proud of these quilters!!!! Remember that we started a Quilt as You Go Sampler Quilt class last fall where we learned to make a different quilt block or two each month and then learned how to put it all together with the Quilt as You Go method? Well here are some of the quilters who completed their quilts recently. Aren’t they all beautiful???!!!!! I love how we made the same 12 quilt blocks and how everyone’s quilt turned out differently showing off their personalities. And some of these ladies, most in fact, were new to quilting. Isn’t that amazing???!!!! I think so. The good news is we have another class starting October 16th and it’s not too late for you to get in on it and make one of these beauties. Sampler Quilts Done (Almost)

We finished up our Block of the Month Sampler Quilts yesterday….well almost! These ladies sewed for over 5 hours putting on borders and bindings. They are almost done but I couldn’t wait to show you how amazing their quilts look. Don’t you love them? I love that they all have the same blocks but they look so different based on everyone’s fabric selections and placement. Gorgeous! Great job Barbara, Debbie, Wilma and Debbie!
