Punched-MonetThe man who  punched a hole through Claude Monet’s “Argenteuil Basin with a Single Sailboat (1874) worth $10 million, Andrew Shannon,  has been sentenced to five years in prison and banned from going to galleries upon his release.

The attack took place at the National Gallery of Ireland, in Dublin, in June 2012, where Shannon attacked a Monet painting.  He claimed he fainted.  Yeah, right!  Read more about this nut here.
