We paint a LOT of mountain scenes around here. It’s a great Paint Party image as it’s pretty simple to do and everyone is successful at it. Here are a few recent ones.

This miniature landscape is one I did a few months ago but haven’t had time to post. The canvas measures 4 1/8″x 5″ and the completed size in the frame is 8 1/4″ x 9″. This one is available for $75. SOLD! (Turns out it’s a little bigger than I originally remembered but I am leaving it at the same price I listed in the blog. A bargain for someone!) Just email me if interested at kwalker@kellywalkerstudios.com . Thanks.

Moon Over Mountain I & II, acrylic, 8×10 or 9×12.
The Holiday Invitational continues at the Blue Ridge Arts Council on Main Street in Front Royal. The show features work by two teachers, Terri Nicholson and myself.
The paintings are demonstration paintings from the many classes we have taught over the last few years and they are very affordable. Consider giving art as a gift this year. Stop by and see the show.

Painting Hanging Clouds

This view of the mountains with hanging cloud is one I started at the festival as a demo a few weeks ago. I still have a little more I’d like to do to it.
I love the way the clouds hang in between the mountains, especially this time of the year.

These are a couple of reference photos I took while out at the cabin a few weeks ago. They give me something to work with on the hanging cloud scene.

Shenandoah Valley View is an oil on canvas panel measuring 12″x24″. This is a piece I started several years ago and while we’ve been weathered in the past few weeks I’ve taken the time to dig out a few old starts and get them finished.
This one is now framed and on display at Delilah’s. Come by and see it.
