Yesterday at The Studio we painted from a photo a friend had shared on Facebook a few months ago of some beautiful hollyhocks growing by an old blue shed. When I saw it I immediately thought it would make a great painting. So I asked Lucy if she allow us to use her photo as reference for out Hollyhock painting. She was delighted that we wanted to do it. And so we did….and everyone created a beautiful work of art based on Lucy’s Hollyhocks! Great work everyone!!!!

Yesterday we introduced a gouache class coming up soon. It got a great response so here is another painting that we will schedule soon in gouache so you can give it a try. Watch for a date.
