This is Pat. She is the most delightful person and a really enthusiastic painter. Pat’s painting of the covered bridge turned out GREAT! Keep up the wonderful work!

I enjoy my adult art classes so much. I have enthusiastic students who are excited to be painting. I especially love it when they paint pieces that are meaningful to them. That was the case with Janice’s recent painting of a backyard scene from her parents home. She talked about good memories that her family has of being together there. You could tell that it was something she cherished and now she has a wonderful painting that she can look at and keep those thought in mind. Great job Jan! Now take a look at what some of the other adult students are working on this week in the Wednesday classes. Keep up the good work everyone!

Tuesday at The Southerlands is always delightful because I get to paint with some lovely ladies. Yesterday Miss Gaylor and Miss Eyeleen completed these paintings. They both just started painting in the last few months. Aren’t they doing great? And the best part is they are having fun painting!

The Young Artist class did a fabulous job painting this landscape in class yesterday. Can you believe we do this in just an hour all the while discussing composition and color mixing? Brilliant!

Kathy finished her painting of the door near the Tower of London. Great job Kathy. This is a good example of how you can create a lovely painting from any subject matter.

I especially enjoy the class I teach at The Southerlands on Tuesdays when Charlotte is there. She has been in the hospital the last few weeks so we are really happy that she feels better and she’s back to painting. She is an excellent artist and it’s fun to work with her. Glad you are better Charlotte.
