Loretta Loves to Learn

Loretta loves trying new things. She just started painting with us at The Studio a few months ago. She loves to paint BIG and is up for trying every new thing. Homeschool Kids Create Abstract Landscapes

The Homeschool Kid’s Class created abstract landscapes yesterday at out Thursday 11 -Noon class. Didn’t they do a GREAT job?! Lincoln thought so…and he snuck in a little kiss. Amazing Large Abstracts

Two Exciting Upcoming Classes

Large Abstract Feb 2019 We have two exciting classes coming up this weekend. On Friday, we are holding the Large Abstract Class again. Always a popular one especially if you have a large space that needs a piece of art or a pop of color. In the past many beautiful pieces have be created. We have space for three more painters so click here and register now!

Expressive Set-up 4 And then on Sunday we are offering our first Masters Class. These classes emphasize a start to finish painting working for a still life set-up. We’ll have flowers and fruit set up for you to work from…finding the look that suits your aesthetic. This will be a little longer class and feature more instruction. Kids Paint Negative

Yesterday at Kid’s Art class we had a smaller group because school was out for snow…and we like those days because we can try something different. We learned about negative painting. We started our painting by using a paper towel to dab colors onto our canvas like an abstract and then painted out everything on the edge to shape a bird. The kids loved the change and so did I.

Abstracts are fun and often fast to paint. We had a fun painting these on Tuesday. People are always surprised that with a few tips and a little help they can create some amazing works of art. Great job everyone….and Lincoln helped!
