Loretta loves trying new things. She just started painting with us at The Studio a few months ago. She loves to paint BIG and is up for trying every new thing. The past two weeks she created this abstract landscape piece with a palette knife. Great job Loretta. The Homeschool Kid’s Class created abstract landscapes yesterday at out Thursday 11 -Noon class. Didn’t they do a GREAT job?! Lincoln thought so…and he snuck in a little kiss. Abstract Feb 2020 group We had our large abstract painting class last night and these ladies didn’t come to play!  They were ready with ideas and ready to create!  And boy did they!!!!  Amazing representational abstract pieces came out of last nights class.  Here is a photo of Michelle’s at work and her finished piece. Large Abstract Feb 2019We have two exciting classes coming up this weekend.  On Friday, we are holding the Large Abstract Class again.  Always a popular one especially if you have a large space that needs a piece of art or a pop of color.  In the past many beautiful pieces have be created.  We have space for three more painters so click here and register now!

wp-1578575196703.jpgYesterday at Kid’s Art class we had a smaller group because school was out for snow…and we like those days because we can try something different.  We learned about negative painting.  We started our painting by using a paper towel to dab colors onto our canvas like an abstract and then painted out everything on the edge to shape a bird.  The kids loved the change and so did I.

Abstract Beauty
