Last Saturday we had the Festival of Leaves in downtown Front Royal. Even though it was a rainy day we had people coming by Delilah’s to see all the new work we have by the wonderful artists who are there. I set up outside in a tent and started a new vineyard painting. Here is the start of it.

I finished the last ball park painting in the series of 30 last night about 10 pm while watching a great ball game on TV. This wrapped up a 6 month project and I have to say I felt relief to get it done. Now to prepare for the exhibit and the opening reception on October 23rd from 6-8 pm at the Blue Ridge Arts Council. Please plan to attend and see all the paintings.
This is the final MLB painting in the series: Yankee Stadium – home of the New York Yankees, winner of 27 World Series.

This is the best time of the year for some really great baseball. Even though my Braves lost night before last to the Los Angeles Dodgers I still am having fun watching. Last night the Boston Red Sox moved on to the playoffs by beating Tampa Bay Rays. Now we just have to wait to see if Boston will play the Oakland A’s or Detroit Tigers and if L.A. will play Pittsburgh Pirates or St Louis Cardinals. Who are you cheering for?
If you aren’t watching baseball these days you are really missing out.

I had a fun private lesson with a mother-daughter this weekend. They created some beautiful art to welcome their new nephew/cousin into the world. Great job Clare and Vivian! You did a fabulous job. I know they will love it.

We had the October 1st Saturday Paint Party yesterday and what a good time we had! Everyone did a fabulous job on their floral painting. While we used the same techniques they all turned out so different. I love it! Super work everyone. The November 1st Saturday Paint Party will be November 2 from 4-6:30 at the Blue Ridge Arts Council. We will be painting a landscape. Consider joining us to create your own “masterpiece”.
