Several weeks ago I was commissioned to paint a farewell gift for a staffer leaving an office here in town. Her favorite hike at Shenandoah National Park is Mary’s Rock so that was the subject for the painting.
They gave it to her yesterday and she liked it!

I recently was treated to lunch at Flint Hill Public House during my “birthday month celebration”. (Thanks Jennifer.) While there I got to see up close the public art sculpture they have on display out front – Paladin.
This is an impressive work of art in steel and recycled auto parts. It was relocated to it’s current location from the former LBJ Ranch in Texas. You can learn more about it and see other photos of it by clicking here.

A quick study of a Summer Bouquet of flowers from a friends garden and some I picked up at the Farmer’s Market last Saturday. This painting was done in acrylic and measures 8″x6″. SOLD!

I recently received a commission to paint a scene from Harrisonburg with the mountains in the background. It is a graduation gift. It took a little longer than normal because it’s a larger painting, 18″x24″ acrylic on canvas.
