Brooke joined my art class right after she moved to Front Royal recently. We are so glad she did. She paints wonderfully and just lights up our Thursday evening class. But she talks so fast…I mean FAST. We have to ask her to slow down and repeat so that we can understand her. But it’s great having a teenager in class to keep us up to date on what’s going on. Welcome Brooke and great job! Can’t wait to see the next one.

I had the most delightful evening leading a Paint Party for Reen’s Birthday. This was a fun group of ladies and they painted some wonderful dogwood paintings. Everyone was so enthusiastic about painting and it came through in their work. Great job everyone….and Happy Birthday Reen!
And the little cutie in the front middle is Cassie. She was the life of the party. 🙂 For more information on Paint Parties click here.

Yesterday was a day of firsts. I was asked to work with the Front Royal-Warren County Leadership Class during their Art and Tourism Day and they all painted their first landscapes of the mountains and did wonderful work. And they had fun too. I think there is a theme here: PAINTING IS FUN!!!

I love seeing my students finish their paintings. They turn out so good and I love how the other students encourage one another.
Miss Eyeleen finished her barn in her class at The Southerlands yesterday. And Kathy is wrapping up this wonderful beach scene. After all the snow doesn’t it look like a place you would like to be. Great job girls!

We had a fun art class with kids yesterday. This was Palmer’s first class with me. And didn’t he do a great job on his Capital View painting?! Terrific! And Zach did a wonderful painting as well. That’s Zach behind his painting. His mom won’t let me post his cute face. 🙂
Good job boys. Now what might we do next week?

A few weeks ago I shared with you Shelly’s Poppy (Check it out here). Here is the finished painting. Shelly is a wonderful painter with a great eye for color mixing. We’ve been painting together for a couple of years and it’s always lots of fun! Great job Shelly. This is your best yet!
