Homeschool Painters

Our Homeschool class finished up a painting they started at the last session of the red cabin in the snow and then did a little folk art painting on a wooden shingle. We like exploring different types of art. Great job everyone!

At The Studio Kid’s classes we explore different types of arts as well as different mediums and supports. This week the kids in Wednesday’s class painted these folk art scenes on old wooden shingles. It was fun and they look great!

I worked today on a new block pattern….the Shadow Box Block….or a 3D Block. When it’s all put together it looks like the blocks float over the top of the quilt. Very cool. I’m anxious to finish it to see how it turns out.

Fabulous group of stitchers went all in for 3 days of sewing, quilting and crocheting at the Shenandoah River State Park this past weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN!!!! We did a lot of laughing while creating so pretty fabulous things. Take a look. We can’t wait to do it all again! Thanks ladies for so much inspiration.
