The family and friends of Pat Windrow honored her this past weekend by unveiling a memorial at the Town Commons in Front Royal. Pat was an artistic force of nature in Front Royal. She painted amazing murals on several buildings around town – both inside and out. Since her passing we are all hoping that these will be maintained by the owners of the buildings. They are irreplaceable.
The memorial that was dedicated features wonderful images of some of Pat’s beautiful floral paintings. It’s a fitting way to honor this creative woman.

Ms. Windrow did my portrait in 1960 in Setauket, New York. It became the property of Norman K. Winston. What happened to it after that, I have no idea.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I’d love to visit and see the memorial and other murals. Where can I find these works?
The memorial is in the Town Commons Park adjacent to the Visitor’s Center on Main Street in Front Royal, VA. You can see murals on the side of the building where Happy Creek Coffee and Tea shop is located right off of Main. Indoor murals are at Apple House Deli and The Main Street Mill, both on Main Street.
Thanks so much!
