Last night was the first Famous Painters Party at The Studio.  We are planning to meet once a month to recreate a famous painting by some of our favorite artists.  Last night it was Georgia O’Keeffe’s Red Poppy.  Everyone did a wonderful job.  They look terrific.

Next month we will meet on September 29th and it will be Van Gogh Sunflowers!  Plan to join us.  Registration info will be posted soon.

Please enter your favorite pet photo in the calendar contest and help our shelter and the pets they are saving.  They do GREAT work and can use our help.  Here is the info and entry form.  Just click here: 2016calendar flyer revised

Thanks!

What a fun day.  Thanks Sandra for taking time to teach us.

Decoupage Frames

Day 2 of Arts and Crafts Camp had the campers sketching and decoupaging.  With sketchbooks in hand they sketched several things inside The Studio and then went out front and sat on the steps sketching things they could see from there.  They did great!  Take a look at what Samantha (an art camper for several years) did in just a short time.  It’s the church at the corner of Main and Royal.  Wonderful.

And all the kids did terrific work choosing papers to Mod Podge a picture frame.  They look great!  Good work everyone.
