Negative Space Embroidery

Since I have gotten into embroidery lately I have been learning how much it seems to have changed since I used to do it as a kid.

One of the things I have found is negative space embroidery. It has such a modern look to it and it was fun to do.

LOVE the embroidery posts! Just wondering if the “negative space” area is surrounded by French knots? or is it plain stitching? thx

  This one just has plain stitches all in different directions. But I have done one with French knots. Give it a try. Lots of fun!
